Journalism Club

Students enjoy treats at the Journalism Club's bakedown event in November 2016.

Journalism Club

The Journalism Club provides an opportunity for students to collaborate with their peers and work on projects that include social events, attending conferences, communicating with faculty and staff, and are the primary people responsible for planning the annual Journalism and Mass Communication Awards Banquet.

In recent years, members of the JMC student club have planned activities and events for the department ranging from the PhotoJournalism contest to the JMC Bakedown.  Students have also attended professional conferences and have assisted with department recruitment at the Northern California Association of Junior Colleges and Community Colleges.

Participation in the Journalism Club is voluntary, but give students and additional opportunity to get experience as leaders in our community and can add that to their resume.
